The challenge
Hospitality units combine cooking risk, a public escape route and staff working long shifts. The responsible person needs a documented assessment with a prioritised action plan, and enforcement officers expect to see it on request.
What we did
Delivered with our sister brand Fire Risk Specialists, the assessment followed the PAS 79 methodology — hazards, people at risk, existing precautions, escape routes and management arrangements — surveyed outside the lunchtime rush.
The outcome
The operator received a clear report with actions ranked by priority and realistic timescales, so the significant findings could be recorded and worked through rather than filed away.
